May 19(71.) MARILYNN CLAIRE METZ Marilynn Claire Metz, 90, passed away on May 7th at Hale Nani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 30, 1934, in Minneapolis to Harry and Ella Fankhanel, Marilynn moved to Oahu in 1958 where she lived until her death. Marilynn founded MCM Planning and assisted with projects like the Keck Telescopes on Mauna Kea. She served on the board for Ballet Hawaii and enjoyed travel, throwing Christmas parties, and was a friend to fuzzy orange cats and critters. May 19(72.) DAVID KIRK ANDERSON David Kirk Anderson went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2024, at his home in Kahalu'u, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on January 25, 1956, to David "Whiz" and Pearl Anderson, and grew up in Kailua, Oahu. David graduated from Kailua High School, and worked at the Honolulu Advertiser before starting his long career as a Longshore Foreman with Hawaii Stevedores, Inc., until his retirement. She was born and raised in Honolulu and moved to Molokai, where she married her husband of 63 years, Robert Shigeharu Muramoto, who preceded her in death in 2013. She retired from the Del Monte Corporation. Amy is survived by her children Aileen (Sam) Nonaka, Miki (Delbert) Rosehill, Robert (Jennifer) Muramoto, Kim (Myron) Rosehill, Mark (Ann Marie) Muramoto, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great- great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. May 19(79.) TAI HI LIM Tai Hi Lim passed away on May 5, 2024 at the age of 104. He was born in Spreckelsville, Maui to Reverend Choon Ho and Mary Dho Lim who were first generation Korean immigrants to Hawaii. Tai Hi was the last living sibling of 4 brothers and 6 sisters. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tai Hi graduated from Maui high school and went on to obtain his master's degree from Columbia University in New York.
