WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) Section 342D-7(i), the State Department of Health (DOH) seeks written comments from interested persons regarding the following. Mr. Kendall Hee, member of Mele Aloha Aina, LLC., Honolulu, Oahu has applied for a variance for the maximum of five (5) years as stated in the variance application from Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) section 11-62-06(e).
Mr. Shaun Sato, of Engineers Surveyors Hawaii, Inc. Honolulu, Oahu is the individual authorized to act for the applicant. The property is located at 322 Auwaiolimu Street, Honolulu, Oahu 96813, TMK (1) 2-2-013: 054 20,163 sq. ft.
The variance proposes to reroute existing sewer from existing cesspool to temporary holding tank to be pumped into City sewer transport line during off peak hours.
The existing location of the facility is severely restrictive. There is simply no space to construct a wastewater treatment plant.
