NOTICE TO MOTORISTS

Please be advised that sewer line repairs on Haku Street (from Haku Place to
Ala Mahamoe St) will take place beginning on January 6, 2025. Crews
will be inspecting the sewer line, removing vegetation in the City’s sewer
easement, clearing loose rocks and removing unstable boulders from the
hillside. Workers will be on site from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through
Friday; weekend, holiday and/or overnight work is not an cipated at this
time. One lane of Haku St will be closed while crews are on site during the
day and vehicular traffic will contraflow through the area facilitated by
flaggers at either end. Out of an abundance of caution, traffic may be
temporarily halted in both directions while crews remove boulders from the
hillside. The sidewalk on the west side of Haku Street will be closed and
street parking on the east side of Haku St from 1451 Haku St to 1485 Haku
St will be closed for the duration of the project. “No Parking” barricades will
be set up one week prior to the first day of the project, vehicles parked in
the restricted areas will be towed at the owner’s expense. It is strongly
encouraged for all traffic to use an alternate route to avoid delays.
