NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services in cooperation with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a Decision/Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Final Environmental Assessment (EA), Wake Atoll Rat Eradication Program. The EA analyzes the potential environmental effects of a cooperative program to eradicate the Pacific rat (Rattus exulans), an invasive species that impacts people, property, and wildlife, especially nesting seabirds and shorebirds, from Wake Atoll. Anyone wishing to view the document can at www.regulations.gov, Document APHIS-2021-0045, or obtain a copy from USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services-Hawaii, Pacific Islands, 3375 Koapaka Street, Suite H-420,Honolulu, HI 96819-1895.
