Burial Notice: Kahalui 2nd Ahupua’a, North Kona District, Hawai’i Island, Hawai’i
Notice is hereby given that human remains were identified during an Archaeological Inventory Survey of 14.682-acres of land [TMK: (3) 7-5-017: 040] in Kahalui 2nd Ahupua’a, North Kona District, Hawai’i Island, Hawai’i. The lands are associated with LCA 8516-B awarded to Grace Kama’iku’i. Proper treatment shall occur in accordance with Hawai’i Revised Statutes, Chapter 6E regarding unmarked grave sites. The property owner proposes to preserve the burials in place for perpetuity, in accordance with a plan prepared in consultation with identified descendants and with the approval of the Hawai’i Island Burial Council and SHPD.
