EAH Housing is pleased to announce the opening of the Aloha Ia Halewiliko Waiting List, a 140-unit affordable housing community for low-income seniors from
Tuesday, April 15, 2025, through Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Aloha Ia Halewiliko provides affordable studio and one-bedroom apartment homes in ‘Aiea, serving the 62+ community at 99-385 Pohai Place, ‘Aiea, Hawai’i 96701.

APPLICATION INFORMATION
Applications may be obtained and accepted online, in-person, and by U.S. Mail.

Online: Online applications are located at www.EAHHousing.org/apartments/Aiea/.

In-Person: To obtain an application packet in person, you may visit our Honolulu

Office: Aloha Ia Halewiliko, c/o EAH Housing Management Office, Honolulu Office, 1103 Liliha St, #102, Honolulu, HI 96817.

Mail: To obtain an application packet in the mail, please call, email, or submit a letter indicating your name, address, and telephone number. Mailed applications must be post-marked by April 30, 2025.

Once the waiting list closes, we will hold an online (Zoom) lottery on May 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. HST. to determine applicant positions on the waiting list. The date and time of receipt of the application have no bearing on one’s waiting list position.

Aloha Ia Halewiliko is an Equal Housing Opportunity housing facility, admitting people following Local, State, and Federal Housing laws, the Rental Housing Revolving Fund (RHRF), and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program.

Occupancy for 140 units is anticipated in August 2025.

Household eligibility is based on the total gross income and family size. Eligibility is also limited to U.S. citizens and specific categories of non-citizens with eligible immigration status. In general, the household’s income may not exceed 60% of the area median income (AMI) for Honolulu County:

50% AMI $48,750 – $62,650
60% AMI $58,500 – $75,180
*Income limits are subject to change based on income limits published by HHFDC

Only applications received by April 30, 2025, or postmarked by April 30, 2025, at the latest, will be included in the initial lottery. Any application received or post-marked after April 30, 2025, will be placed on the program’s waitlist based on the date and time the application was received.
