Oahu Island Target
Public Meeting
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will be conducting a Public Meeting on June
12, 2019, 6:00pm, at the Laie Elementary School. This meeting is open to the public, and
will present the activities that will be conducted for the cleanup of unexploded ordnance
within the Oahu Island Target – Target Islands and Surrounding Waters Formerly Used
Defense Site (FUDS) located offshore of Malaekahana and Laie. The purpose of the
Public Meeting is to inform the public of the activities taking place in the area.
The Public Meeting will review past actions and provide the public information regarding
the latest environmental restoration activities to address military munitions potentially
remaining at the Oahu Island Target – Target Islands and Surrounding Waters FUDS.
