NOTICE TO MOTORISTS The Ahuimanu Wastewater Pre-Treatment Facility Force Main – Haiku Road Bypass Sewer project will commence in July 2017; with completion scheduled for December 2018. The owner is the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Design and Construction, Wastewater Division. The project consists of rerouting the existing Ahuimanu 16-inch force main located on Kahekili Highway to Kamehameha Highway along Haiku Road with a new 24-inch diameter gravity sewer line (approximately 3,655 LF) Normal on-street working hours for will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Work on Kahekili Highway will be performed from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Intermittent lane closures will take place on Haiku Road and the intersections of Kamehameha Highway and Kahekili Highway. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and drive with extreme caution within the construction area. Project hotline: (808) 864-7072.
