NOTICE OF CONSULTATION SECTION 106 OF THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT OF 1966 AS AMENDED (2006) MAKAKUPAIA BRIDGE REPLACEMENT KAWELA AHUPUAA, KONA DISTRICT, ISLAND OF MOLOKAI FEDERAL-AID PROJECT NUMBER: BR-0450(10) TAX MAP KEY(S): (2)5-4-003:28 POR. AND (2)5-4-017:44 POR. Notice is hereby given that the Federal Highway Administration and State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Division propose to replace the Makakupaia Bridge. The project is located on Kamehameha V Highway (Route 450) on the island of Molokai. The scope of work includes constructing a temporary bypass road, replacing the Makakupaia Bridge, relocating utilities, constructing bridge approaches and installing new pavement signing, striping and markings. The existing bridge abutments will remain in place. The Area of Potential Effect is approximately 3.3 acres.
