Public Notice As part of the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), the United States Army Garrison-Hawaii (USAG-HI) is soliciting public interest in forming a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for Makua Military Reservation (MMR) and associated Munitions Response Sites (MRSs) on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The purpose of a RAB is to promote community involvement in the Army’s local environmental restoration efforts. RABs provide the public the opportunity to regularly review progress and engage decision makers on the restoration of previously used sites. Every two years the Army solicits public interest in establishing a RAB for the Makua MMRP sites. This solicitation is part of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) process, as required by the Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP). If you are interested in participating in a RAB for these sites or would like additional information, please contact the USAG-HI Directorate of Public Works, Ms. Carrie Nelson, at 808-656-3092, carrie.nelson.civ@mail.mil between July 30 and August 29, 2017.
