NOTICE TO MOTORIST
The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) and Hawaii Harbors Constructors JV would like to notify the public that work on the following project will be done on the dates and times indicated below:
ALA WAI CANAL WALL IMPROVEMENTS
ALA WAI BOULEVARD BETWEEN MCCULLY STREET AND KALAKAUA AVENUE
START WORK DATE: November 30, 2020
WORKING HOURS: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
WORK END DATE: March 2021

Necessary lane closures and pedestrian detours along Ala Wai Boulevard will be implemented for the duration of the project:
Right turn merge lane from McCully Street to Ala Wai Boulevard will be closed for the duration of the project. Drivers will use the turn lane at the intersection for access to Ala Wai Boulevard.
One of the two right turn lanes to access Kalakaua Avenue will be closed during the working hours and reopened to traffic during non-working hours.
Sidewalk affected by construction will be closed for the duration of the project and pedestrians detoured to alternate sidewalks. Pedestrians are advised to obey all sidewalk signage and to use crosswalks at intersections.
Please be aware of changing conditions and adhere to posted speed limits. Use alternate route if possible and drive with caution.
