Feb 23(22.) NANCY NOBUKO TABA 95, of Honolulu, a retired librarian for the State of Hawaii, passed away on January 16, 2025 at Manoa Senior Care. She was born in Puunene, Maui to Yaichi and Aya Noda. She embraced the role of caregiver throughout her life, as a daughter, sibling, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by sons, Stuart and Dean (Sharene); daughter, Gayle (Tommy) Ohashi; sister, Fay (George) Zukeran; and grandchildren, Madison, Joshua (Baijun), Morgan and Matin. Feb 23(23.) MILTON S. GOO Milton S. Goo, 87, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A proud Army veteran, Milton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Frances; children Vivian, Lillian, Evelynn, and Stephen (Julie); 8 grandchildren; and 4 great- grandchildren, brother Winston (Ruth), and sister Gaylyn. A service to honor Milton's life will be held on March 1, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wahiawa. Visitation at 9:00am, service at 10:00am, followed by a reception. Private burial. Feb 23(24.) JOSEPH KIEKIE KAAHU UAHINUI III 68, of Honolulu, died on October 27, 2024 at Kaiser Moanalua. Born June 20, 1956 at Molokai Community Hospital in Ho'olehua to Joseph K. K. Uahinui, Jr. and Beverly Ann Kulani Uahinui. Graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Class of 1975 and Honolulu Community College, a retired parking and security consultant with Hawaii Opera Theatre. Survived by wife, Colleen; brothers, Kaihehau and Ekela (Cheryl) Uahinui; sisters, Kamakea, Frieda and Yolanda Uahinui; cousins, nieces, and nephews. Feb 21(26.) NORMAN Y. HASHISAKA Norman Yukio Hashisaka, beloved husband, dad, papi, grandpa, great grandpa, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on January 8, 2025, at 99 years old. Born in Waianae, O'ahu, and raised on Kaua'i and O'ahu, Norman attended Kaua'i High School and graduated from McKinley High School. He volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Military Intelligence Service, which was later honored with the Congressional Gold Medal for its exceptional service.
