SEALED BIDS will be received up to and publicly opened and read aloud at the office of Mark Development Inc., 3165 Waialae Ave # 200, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816 at 10:00 a.m. on June 18, 2018.
For the following project:
NA LEI HULU KUPUNA REHAB PROJECT
610 COOKE STREET HONOLULU, HAWAII 96813
The project involves both interior and exterior renovation of Na Lei Hulu Kupuna Senior Affordable Rental Housing. Interior renovation includes refinishing of the common spaces and all 76 rental units. Exterior renovation includes paint, wall batten screening at exterior stairs and a new fenced pergola at the corner of Cooke Street and Halekauwila Street above the existing paved terrace.
The Project shall be phased to accommodate temporary relocation of the current tenants.
A CD of the plans and specifications (Bidding Documents) will be available to be picked up at In+Form Design, 1347 Kapiolani Blvd. Suite 401, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814 on May 15, 2018, after 9:00 a.m. with a deposit of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) per CD, by check made payable to “Hawaii Assisted Housing, Inc.” All checks will be refunded upon bid opening.
This project will be funded under the Affordable Housing Fund established by Section 9-204, Revised Charter of the City and County Honolulu 1973 (2017 Edition). Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable current State and Federal labor standards in effect at the time the Contract(s) is executed.
To be eligible to bid, the prospective bidder must provide written notice of bidder’s intention to bid. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to the licensing of Contractor. A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be held on May 29, 2018, 10:00 AM, at the site. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site during the bid period; therefore, attendance at this meeting is encouraged.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount made out to “Hawaii Assisted Housing, Inc.” Bidders attention is directed to Act 352, SLH 1997, relating to the requirements for tax clearances from the State Department of Taxation and Internal Revenue Service, as a prerequisite to entering into a contract and receiving final payment.
