SISTER MARGARET ANTONE MILHO Sister Margaret Antone Milho, O.S.F., 84, a Sister of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, went home to God at St. Francis Convent, Honolulu, on Wednesday, March 14, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Kilauea, Kauai, the daughter of the late Antone and Margaret Quinones Milho. Sister entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1952 and made her perpetual vows in 1958. She earned a Bachelor’s degree at Chaminade College of Honolulu and a Master’s degree at the University of Hawaii. Sister spent sixty years in Catholic school education as a teacher, counselor, and administrator. Her assignments took her to Central New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina. In Hawaii she was missioned in Ewa Beach, Hilo, Lahaina, Manoa, and Pearl City. In all these places she was noted for her dedication to her students, her love of French and her vivacious smile, graceful hula, and beautiful voice. Services will be held on Saturday morning, April 7, at St. Francis Convent, 2715 Pamoa Road in Manoa Valley: Visitation 8:30, Eulogy 9:45, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00, and inurnment at Diamond Memorial Park at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis.
