Age 91, of Pearl City, HI, passed away April 13, 2026. Born on February 19, 1935, to Waichi and Hana Nagakane. Marian spent her childhood in Mills Camp, located in Pepeekeo, Hawaii, before relocating to Honolulu to attend McKinley High School, graduating with the Class of 1953. While at McKinley, she served as a Song Leader. Soon after finishing school, Marian took part in the 2nd Annual Cherry Blossom Festival Pageant in 1954. She also cheered as a Song Leader for the Hawaii Baseball Semi-Pro team, playing at the Old Honolulu Stadium, which is where she met her future husband, Bobby. Together, they raised seven children and actively supported their involvement in sports and other activities. Marian’s devotion centered on nurturing her children and grandchildren, and she fostered a loving, inviting home that became a popular spot for neighbors and friends. For many years, her home remained a welcoming gathering place for holidays, after-school visits, and spontaneous get-togethers. She often joked that she was like "The Old Woman who lived in a shoe."
