JANE KEIKO (NAKAMOTO) MATSUSAKA

Jane Keiko (Nakamoto) Matsusaka (92) passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025 at her home in Wahiawa surrounded by family. Born on May 6, 1932 to Matsuzu and Matsua Nakamoto and raised on Kam IV Road in Kalihi, she was the youngest of 5 children. She graduated from Farrington HS, attended a business school, and worked at Liberty House until she became a mother. She was a proficient and popular Okinawan dancer, even travelling to Okinawa, where she earned an Okinawan dance teaching certificate. She was an active member of the Wahiawa Okinawa Kyo Yu Kai. She is predeceased by her husband, Albert M. Matsusaka, whom she raised a family with in Wahiawa. She is survived by daughter, Sharon N. Matsusaka-Brewer (Virgil Brewer) and son, Mark G. Matsusaka; and two grandchildren Mamoru Matsusaka-Brewer and Gisella Kahapea. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30 pm and service 6:30 pm. Burial on the following day (6/3/25) at 10:30 am at Mililani Memorial Park.
