The Petition alleges your consent to the Petitioner’s adoption of the child is not required and may be dispensed pursuant to HRS Section 578-2(c). A hearing on the Petition will be held on May 13, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the Family Court, 4675 Kapolei Parkway, 3rd Floor, Kapolei, HI, 96707. IF YOU FAIL to appear at the hearing or to file a written response to the Petition, further action may be taken, including granting the adoption without further notice to you. FAILURE TO OBEY this Notice may result in an entry of default and a default judgment against you. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the child, adoptive parent, and natural parent have rights under HRS §578-15 regarding confidentiality of adoption after the child reaches age 18.
