CHARLES DA 93, passed away peacefully in Honolulu, Feb 1, 2025. He was born in Tianjin, China and grew up in Egypt where he graduated from Lincoln High School at the American University in Cairo. He proudly served in the US Army after graduating from Fenn College (now Cleveland State University) in Ohio. "Chuck" met and married Sue Nakamoto and started a family while living in Ohio and Pennsylvania. After moving to Sue’s home state of Hawaii, he built a successful business through hard work and his faith in God. In retirement he embraced tennis and grandchildren, and dedicated much of his time in service to his church. He was preceded in death by his son Walter, and is survived by wife Sue, children Maureen (Ralph) Erber, Eva (Edward) Sueoka, Frederick (Linda [Leong]), daughter- in-law Kathy (Garrison) Wang, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great- grandchildren. Memorial Service has been held. No flowers or monetary gifts.
