WALTER SIN Walter Sin Fook Lung, a man of faith, humility, and devotion, passed peacefully into the Lord’s Home on November 29, 2024, at the age of 101. Born and raised in Kalihi, Walter grew up on Gulick Avenue, where he was deeply influenced by the values instilled by his parents, Henry and Alice (Ho) Lung. His faith journey began during his early education at St. Anthony School in Kalihi and remained a cornerstone of his life. A proud alumnus of Saint Louis College, Class of 1942, Walter went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Saint Louis University in Missouri. For nearly five decades, Walter served his community as a Dentist at the A.Y. Wong Building, retiring at the remarkable age of 81. Known for his dedication and meticulous care, he embodied professionalism and compassion in his work. Walter will always be remembered for his soft-spoken humility, kind heart, and steadfast faith in God. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret L.Y. Lung, and his son, Philip Lung. He is survived by his children, Greg (Connie) Lung, Melissa (Larry) Saito, and Ryoko (Phil) Lung; and his grandchildren, Jaclyn and Spencer Saito, and Ethan and Kyra Lung. A Celebration of Life will be held Privately.
