GORDON YF MARK 87, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023. He was one of Hawaii’s most accomplished ukulele artists credited with introducing classical music to the ukulele. He was a self-taught master ukulele virtuoso, with a musical career spanning a nightly show at the Moana Surfrider, performances with the Honolulu Symphony, and concerts throughout the islands. He was also the assistant to the Art Department Chairman, and an Academic Advisor for the Athletic Department at the University of Hawaii. Over the span of his career, in both music and at the university, he developed an array of friendships with musicians and students who were touched by his talent and generosity. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 11-1pm, at Hawaii Okinawa Center, 94-587 Uke’e St, Waipahu, HI, 96797.
