RICHARD FREDERICK DVONCH Richard Frederick Dvonch died on June 18, 2017 in Seattle, Washington while undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 28, 1950. Rich graduated from Northwestern University where he met his wife Dawn. He attained his JD from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. In 1976, he and Dawn moved to Hawaii where he established a private practice. In addition to his private practice, he became a Legislative Attorney in 1993. Rich became the House Chief Attorney in 2000. Despite living in Hawaii for 41 years, he never developed a taste for local food. But, otherwise, Rich was a man of wide and varied interests and extensive knowledge of history and politics. He loved music, news blogs, movies and, most of all, his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Dawn, his faithful sons, Nicholas and Matthew, their lovely wives, Erin and Doris, and the apples of his eye, his wonderful grandchildren, Michaela, Connor, Madison and Alex. Rich is also survived by his loving siblings, Christine Dvonch (Raymond Agius), Robert Dvonch (Jane), Russell Dvonch (Yun Zhi), Roger Dvonch and nieces and nephews. We love him and miss him more than we can say… Memorial service on July 29, 2017. Nuuanu Memorial Park. Visitation 10:30 am. Service to follow. Aloha attire.
