REBECCA Rebecca (Becky) Kunipo Ching passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 96 with her family by her side. In 1946 she began her career as a clerk with the Department of Institutions in Hawai’i’s territorial government. She retired in 1983 as an administrative secretary for the Family Health Services Division in the Hawai’i State Department of Health. She was a devoted wife and mother, a great joke teller and was always there to help and support her family and friends. She filled her retirement years with travel, quilting, running in relays and 10Ks, cake decorating, basket weaving, and shepherding her hanai grandchildren into adulthood. She is predeceased by husband, Donald and survived by daughters Donna Ching (Richard Leman) and Pamela Ching, and hanai grandchildren Tyler Laguana, Bryson Laguana, and Natalie Tulba. There will be a celebration of her life at Diamond Head Memorial Park Chapel on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Visitation: 4:30pm. Services: 5:00pm. Aloha attire. Private burial.
