MARVELLE GREEN

Marvelle L. Green, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted educator, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 5, 2025, at the age of 94 in Spring, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Born in 1930 in Los Angeles, Marvelle dedicated her life to nurturing young minds and inspiring generations of students. She taught 4th and 5th grades at Noelani Elementary for over a decade and Nuuanu Elementary for more than 20 years. Her excellence in education was recognized by her peers, and she proudly served a term as President of the Hawaii State Teachers Association. She earned a master’s degree in creative dramatics from the University of Hawaii, enriching her teaching with creativity and passion.

She is survived by her two sons, Christopher and Alan; two grandchildren, Allison and Kristina; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Elianna. Marvelle will be deeply missed by those she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and Aloha spirit.
