SARA MIE KAMISHITA-UYEHARA Sara Mie Kamishita-Uyehara of Waimea passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her father Norio Kamishita and her mother Katsuko (Okamura) Kamishita. She is survived by her husband Randall S. Uyehara, son Joshua (Kara) and daughter Marisa Uyehara, granddaughter Lillian, Sister Val Ko (Kevin) and nephew Daniel. Also surviving are aunt Kazue Taniguchi, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sara retired as owner/manager of Kami’s Wholesale, and enjoyed working as a part-time cashier at Ishihara Market. Services will be held at the Waimea Honpa Hongwanji on Saturday, May 17th 2025. Visitation will be from 9am, with service to follow at 10am. Please join the family for refreshments and lunch following the service. |
