SCOTT MICHAEL WALLGREN

Scott Wallgren was born December 30, 1959, in Wadena, Minnesota, to Ervin Leslie Wallgren and Magdalene "Mag" (Langer) Wallgren. He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Wadena High School Class of 1977. After graduation, Scott enlisted into the Navy and served at sea and then was stationed on the USS Davidson located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where he was Honorably Discharged after 4 years of service.

Scott then took a job in the private sector working for Queen’s Hospital operating their boiler. Using both his Navy and Queen’s experiences, Scott then went to work for Hawaiian Electric where he came up through the ranks as a junior control operator, unit operator and then a shift supervisor. He retired from Hawaiian Electric after 26 years in April 2018.

Scott loved his family: His mom, eight siblings, and all of his nieces and nephews with their children. He would often travel back to Minnesota, Oregon and Montana to see family and friends. Scott loved to golf, never used any of his irons, only carried 4 or 5 clubs with him in his bag. He loved the Minnesota Vikings!! "SKOL!!" He had the best boisterous laugh that could be heard from anywhere.

On December 24, 2024, Scott passed away peacefully in his home in Aiea, Hawaii, at the age of 64.

He will be greatly missed by his 5 sisters: Karen (Gerry) Muckala; Connie (Clyde) Dalton; Laurie (Alan) Krueger; Paula (Mike Maurer) Pulju; and Becky Robertson; 3 brothers: Jeff (Barb) Wallgren; Tom (Kris) Wallgren; and Pat Wallgren; 18 nieces and nephews; many other relatives, and a host of friends.
