BETTE YUKIE MATSUMOTO ING

Bette Yukie Ing, age 83, passed away on December 6, 2024. She is survived by husband Gordon Ing, daughters Marsha and Jennifer (Cecil Mamiit) Ing, and grandsons. She is also survived by sisters Mabel Matsumoto, Jean Sakai, and Linda (Nathan) Takeuchi, sister-in-law Isabelle Matsumoto, and nieces and nephews. Bette was a 1959 graduate of McKinley High School and 1963 graduate of the University of Hawaii. She taught students at schools in California, Japan, and Hawaii (Royal, Pauoa, and Manoa Elementary schools). A private memorial service was held at Moiliili Hongwanji temple. Her ashes will be inurned at the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at a later date.
