JEAN "JEANNIE" HARUE MAEDA Jean "Jeannie" Harue Maeda, was born on January 27, 1949, in Lapauhoehoe, Hawaii. And left us too soon on February 9, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 76. She graduated from McKinley High School (Honolulu) in 1967, and moved to Gardena, CA., where she met Alton Maeda and married on August 14, 1971. Jeannie always wanted to have a daughter, which they welcomed Michele, on July 27, 1973. Jeannie was more than just a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunty and Grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for family and friends, putting others before herself. Her kindness, warmth, and quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Always someone to listen and lean on, she had a special way of making people feel loved and uplifted. In January 2022, Jeannie and Alton returned home to Honolulu, to be with their daughter, Michele, wife Sandy and their daughter, Peyton. She enjoyed spending time with her grand-furbaby, Kaimana. Jeannie will be remembered by her favorite comments, "I’m full" and "I’m resting." She filled our lives with so much of herself, and may now rest in love…
