VAN MAKANI LORENZO

Van Makani Lorenzo, 46, of Halawa Heights, Oahu, devoted son, loving father, benevolent brother and passionate boat and car enthusiast, passed through the gates of Heaven on May 1st, 2024. The second eldest son of Edward (Bully) Lorenzo Jr. & Iris (Akimseu), he was born on Saturday, May 21st, 1977 at Wahiawa General Hospital. A former Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Rigger and Emergency Management Specialist, Van attended the Kamehameha Schools from K-12th grade graduating in 1995. He is survived by sons; Preston Kamakani (15) and Parker Kaimalino (9), ex-wife Valerie (Marciel); fiance Abby Mangiliman; brother Shawn (Poliala), nephews Kahu’ike, Duke & Kamaka; brother Ian (Monique), nieces Isley, Israe, & Iszel; brother Dan (Ku’ulehua), nephews Kaiea, Palikea & niece Waileia; sister Tris, nephew Trystan Bryan and countless family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Kamehameha Schools Bishop Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 10th 9:00am-12:00pm.
