HENRY L. GUERRERO SR. Henry L. Guerrero, Sr., affectionately known as “Hank,” joined his loved ones in heaven on June 6th, at the age of 83. Hank’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him as a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished friend, and pillar of the community. He attended Kamehameha Schools and Saint Louis High School and graduated in 1957, setting the stage for a life filled with accomplishments and service. Hank’s professional journey began at State Farm Insurance where you were getting more than just an insurance policy, you were getting a friend. Hanks’ clients would come to pay their bills in person and then spend time talking-story. He served the community for over 40 years building strong relationships and volunteering as a mentor for youth. Hank’s retirement in 2006 marked up the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy of service and integrity. After retiring, Hank and his beloved wife, Ilona, made their home in “God’s Country”, in the beautiful town of Hawi. They built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories watching sunsets, dancing hula, singing with friends and Hank was a devoted choir member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church. In his younger days, he sang and played with the Blue Angels, showcasing his musical talent. Hank’s love for music continued as he found friendship and joy singing at the Tahitian Lanai, Yacht Harbor Towers, La Mariana, and The Waikiki He embraced a passion for motorcycles, fast cars, Kenpo Karate, and aviation enjoying 40 years of flying his Cessna to and from the neighbor islands. Above all, he was a loving and devoted father to his children, Henry Guerrero, Jr. (Amy), Momi Akana (Ben), Tammy Turcios (Oscar), David Guerrero, and Heather Guerrero, as well as his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by his beloved brother, Frances Guerrero, and his sister, Marion He will be remembered as a man of honor, integrity, and kindness whose legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
