ALVIN Y.H. MEW 71, a Verizon retiree, learned early on about the importance of caring for his family and his home from his mom and dad. It is this, their legacy that Al has perpetuated in his life. In retirement, Al loved nothing more than chatting with neighbors, fellow Verizon co-workers he bumped into at COSTCO, or on the phone with friends; laughing and gossiping like teenagers. His friendly nature blessed our family with people who to this day, ask how we’re doing, who share bounties from fruit trees and kitchens, who offer help, and who share bonds with us that carry on through his memory. Al loved and hoped until he left us on April 6, 2020 after an illness. Rest in Love, AL. Spouse: Kathleen, Sons: Patrick and Aaron.
