RICHARD S. MIYASHIRO
88, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on July 1, 1934 to Shinyu and Edith Miyashiro and graduated from Kaimuki High School, class of 1953. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. After being discharged, he graduated from the Electro-Technical School, Ltd. He became an electronic calibrator at the U.S. Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and retired in 1993. He loved playing the ukulele and enjoyed gathering with classmates. He is survived by wife Ruth; son Michael Miyashiro; daughter Cindy (Glenn) Maglasang; brother James (Judy) Miyashiro; sister Patsy Fukuji; granddaughter Reina and grandson Rustin Maglasang. Private services were held.
