PAUL MICHITO "SHANGY" HIROTA 91, of Honolulu, a retired civil engineer for Belt Collins and Associates, passed away on May 23, 2023 at 15 Craigside Place. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, son, Scott (Johanna); daughters, Joy (Jon) McLaughlin, Tracy Hirota and Jeri (Neil) Nihei; brother, George (Alice); sister, Helen Pierce; and 18 grand- children and one great-grand- child. Visitation at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Nu’uanu Congregational Church, 2651 Pali Hwy. Service at 5:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers.
