LILY GILMAN

80, of Kapolei passed away May 28, 2023. She was a graduate of McKinley High School, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and San Francisco State College. Lily spent more than 25 years teaching at Mauka Lani Elementary School. She was a fun-loving retiree who enjoyed going out to see the world, and valued her friends and family. She is survived by daughters Julia and Jessica, brothers Jerry (Janice) and Koji, sister Sakiko (Isamu), sister-in-law Hilde, and extended family. Lily is preceded in death by her siblings Tsuruko, Asako, and Fred. Services: 10:30 am Friday, July 7 at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lily’s name may be made to Hawai’i Public Radio.
