LYNN TOKIE SHIMIZU Lynn Tokie Shimizu – beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend – passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023 at the age of 96 at Arcadia Retirement Residence in Honolulu. Lynn was born on April 6, 1927 in Paauhau on the Big Island. She graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute, and worked at Lanakila Elementary School. In her spare time and during her retirement years, Lynn enjoyed playing mahjong, ballroom dancing, and traveling with her husband. Lynn was also a big fan of UH sports, particularly basketball and volleyball. Lynn is also fondly remembered by her many friends at Arcadia and Club 100. Lynn is survived by her husband, Kazuto, of 69 years, her brother, Claude Nagaishi, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 3, 2023 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; visitation at 5:00 p.m. and funeral service at 6:00 p.m.
