DAVILYN F. PAYNE
Davilyn Faith Feliciano Payne passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2023.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 16, 1947. Exceptionally gifted, she won a full scholarship to Maryland University where she pursued a liberal arts degree in English with a minor in linguistics. Her life was transformed when she began to follow Jesus Christ. She was wicked smart, compassionate and loyal. Her husband found her extraordinarily capable and gentle-hearted. Her children treasured her wisdom and prized her thoughtfulness. Her advice was, "listen first then, when you feel the need to speak, stop and listen some more." She was a listener extraordinaire. Her current favorite music genres were K-pop, opera, and jazz. As a singer/song-writer, skilled pianist, worship leader, she filled the world with music. She loved to give gifts, practice tai-chi, and watch Korean dramas and BBC mysteries.
She is survived by her husband John Howard Payne; children: Joanelle Norris, Noelle Howell, Emily Kotwicki, and Jonathan Payne; grandchildren: Emma, Katharine, Solamae, Reagan, Georgianna, Tobias, Charlotte, Joslyn, Leilani, and Aurora; and six of her eleven siblings: Donald Feliciano, Joanie Feliciano, Gavin Feliciano, Clifford Feliciano, Laurel Reid, and John Feliciano. She was predeceased by sons, John Payne III and Joshua Payne.
Loved by many, her presence is sorely missed.
