SADAKO SASAKI

Our beloved mother Sadako Sasaki peacefully passed away on April 27, 2023 surrounded by family. Mom had a wonderful life. She was 101 years old.

Mom was the second eldest child of Uichi and Kinuyo Shigemasa of Na’alehu, Hawaii. Mom is predeceased by her husband Rodney, son Melvin, and siblings Masako Kashimoto, Tadashi Shigemasa, Tsutomu Shigemasa, and Eiko Nagano.

Mom is survived by daughter-in-law Allison; daughters Aileen (Michael) Kurashima and Lynn (Ross) Fujimoto; grandchildren Gavin, Kate, and Elle; sister Hatsue Matsuura; brothers Susumu (June) Shigemasa and Eichi Shigemasa (Susan Abe); sister-in-law Sharon Shigemasa; and nieces and nephews.
