BARBARA TAZUKO TSUKAMOTO 89, of Honolulu, passed away on February 25, 2023. She was born Tazuko Sato on July 27, 1933 in Pahoa, Hawaii to Rakuichi and Hamayo Sato. She was a 1951 graduate of Pahoa High School and and attended Honolulu Business College. Barbara was a retired accounting clerk who worked at Children’s Hospital and the City and County of Honolulu Finance Department. Her activities included Honolulu Parks and Recreation volunteer, Palama Settlement line dancer, and Moanalua Community Association member. She was preceded in death by her husband Sakae, with whom she traveled throughout the US, and to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, and other parts of Asia. They also enjoyed attending UH football games. Barbara is survived by her son Kyle (Yoko) Tsukamoto; grandaughter Hannah Tsukamoto; brothers Terumi (Miyoko) and Roy (Akiko) Sato; sister Eiko Kajiyama; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 11 am Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 12 pm. Casual dress. Face masks required.
