MICHAEL PHILIP CHU Age 77, of Kailua, passed away on December 6, 2022. Previously worked as an educator and administrator and enjoyed teaching students of all ages. He loved working with others and meeting new people in the community, especially while working as a security guard at Windward City Shopping Center. He was the President of the Kailua Community Basketball League and also helped referee and coach. Michael is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter, Michelle, his son Philip, and one granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Ahles (Ralph), his brother, Gary Chu (Margie), two nieces and two nephews. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at St. John Vianney Parish. Visitation: 9:45 am; Eulogy: 10:30 am; Mass: 11:00 am.
