HELEN MICHIYE SAKAMOTO

Helen, 88, passed away on November 25, 2022. Born and raised on Oahu, she was a graduate of Maryknoll High School and St. Mary’s Nursing School in Kankakee, Illinois. She married Sadayoshi Sakamoto and after living in several states on the mainland, they returned to Hawai’i in 1969 and settled in Kaneohe.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Sadayoshi, and son David. She is survived by daughter Geri (Thomas); sons: Stephen (Satomi), Dan (Karen) and Michael (Lyann); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A private service was held at Hawaiian Memorial Park and Helen
was laid to rest at the Hawai’i State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.
