CONCHITA L. USON

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many, Conchita L. Uson, passed away on 26 September 2022 at the age of 92 in Manila, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Uson, Sr. and is survived by her four children (Jose/Gerry-wife, James/Vernalyn-wife, Janet/Ralph- husband, and John), six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Conchita spent many years traveling the globe with her husband during his military career and retirement. They enjoyed their time together in places such as Spain, Mexico, Canada, England, Okinawa, and the Philippines. She loved cooking and was blessed enough to be the chef/owner of Subic Bay Restaurant in Waipahu. After retirement, she was a faithful member of St. John’s Mililani where she participated in choir, lady’s bible study, and other ministries.
The Philippines Cultural Foundation presented Jose and Conchita Uson with the “Parents of the Year” award in 2004. However, her most remarkable role was as an amazing mother and loving grandmother/great-grandmother.
Conchita’s kindness, generosity, humility, good sense of humor, and gracious spirit will be greatly missed. She will be forever in our hearts.

Services will be held at the Mililani Mortuary (Mauka Chapel)
on 31 Jan 2023. Visitation is scheduled for 5:30 PM and the “Celebration of Life” service begins at 6 PM. The burial is
scheduled for 1 Feb 2023 at Schofield Barracks, which will be
for family members only.
