CHARLES "CARLOS" H. BARBOZA

78, passed peacefully in Arizona on August 21, 2022. His bravery pushed him through 2 years of liver cancer. Honolulu born and a Farrington High School graduate, Charles then moved to New York to work with many entertainers such as the Everly Brothers. Well known in Honolulu and Los Angeles, he started the Raven Brothers band. He continued in Honolulu with The Aliis for 3 decades earning the stage name Carlos as the lead singer, keyboardist, trumpet and trombone player. The Aliis also performed with Don Ho. Dancers also enjoyed Carlos’s music with the Augie Rey Band.
Carlos is remembered as an accomplished singer and musician, dedicated father, loving husband and true friend. Preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and step sister. He is survived by his adored wife Debra Borges Barboza, son Charles “CJ” (Maneejan) Barboza, son Andre (Angie) Barboza.
