HANNAH VIRGINIA HO SLAYTER 96, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022. Born at home in Kaka’ako in 1926, she was the 10th child of 13 by her parents Annie Keonaona Kaihe Ho and George Lim Ho. Hannah Ho graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1943 and attended the University of Hawaii. As a beautiful young hula dancer, she performed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, as well as in the Kodak Hula Show with some of their original hula dancers. Hannah was one of the very early stewardesses for Hawaiian Airlines, where she retired from as an executive secretary. She was a loving mother and wife, married to Vernie Slayter for over 50 years, and survived by their four sons Craig, Clark, Verne, and Dale, as well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday, November 16, 9:30am at the O’ahu Cemetery Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Ave., with services at 10:30am, aloha attire.
