KATHERINE A. MIN Katherine “Kathy” Min passed away peacefully at her Hawaii Kai home on October 6, 2022. She was born in Hilo and was a proud graduate of Farrington High School (’54) and the University of Hawaii and NYU. Kathy married fellow Farrington graduate and college sweetheart Kellet Min in Germany in 1960. She later worked at KCAA preschools and then at Liberty House where she retired as the Personnel Manager of the Pearlridge store. Kathy was a founder and president of the American Business Women’s Association Punahele Chapter. She was an active member of the Farrington Alumni and Community Foundation. Kathy was a founding member and officer of the Platinum Seniors senior club. She goes to be reunited with her husband of 35 years and is survived by her daughter Kelly (Kent) Hauser, son Chip (Robin) Min, and her grandchildren Trip Min and Katie Hauser; sisters Anna (Ken) Mukai and Lois (Frank) Brito, and brothers Isaac Hasegawa, Sam (Amy) Hasegawa and Stan Hasegawa; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Private services to be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. |
