Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who always had his ukulele and a song to share. Herman “Junior”, born in Wailuku, Maui, passed away peacefully at age 80, with his family at his side. He held many roles in his 42 years in the education profession. He was a former Superintendent for the State of Hawaii Department of Education, Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, Vice-Principal, and Teacher. He is predeceased by his wife, Muriel “Peachy” (Ogata) Aizawa, eldest daughter Lisa (Aizawa) Chan, mother, Mary (Wong) Aizawa, father, Herman Aizawa, Sr., siblings Aileen Osaki, Mary Ann Rohrbough, and Richard Aizawa. He is survived by son-in-law George (Kelsey (Mason) and Bryson) and daughters Lori (Michiko and Kelee) and Linda (Todd and Emi) and sister Eloise Hiu. He will truly be missed with fond memories of his love for music and desire to build a strong unit to educate the children of Hawai’i.
He is now reunited in heaven with his wife, daughter, and Celebration of Life Service will be held on |
