BEVERLY JEAN GITZEN KATZ Retired school librarian, grant writer, pianist and organist, passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2021. Born Jan. 6, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Kapahulu. She earned a BA, two Master’s, married Steven Katz (1981-2003), started a family in New York, and moved to Kailua, HI in 1988. Survived by her son Ari K. Katz, daughter Marissa Katz Bellani, and son-in-law Dhiraj Bellani. Beverly will be dearly missed by her students, her church community, friends, and family.
