NOTICE TO ALL AGENTS, INSUREDS, POLICYHOLDERS AND CLAIMANTS OF
FAMILY SECURITY INSURANCE COMPANY, INC.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 31, 2020, Family Security Insurance Company, Inc. (“FSIC”), submitted to the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Insurance Division, a plan to withdraw from Hawaii and cease the issuance of Homeowners Multi-Peril Insurance Policies in the State of Hawaii.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that FSIC discontinued writing new policies effective November 1, 2020 and, effective January 1, 2021, FSIC began the process of initiating non-renewals for policies with expiration dates between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the last such policies shall expire on or about December 31, 2021.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that FSIC shall continue to adjudicate claims in accordance with Hawaii law.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that this Notice that this is only a summary of FSIC’s withdrawal plan. FSIC policyholders and agents representing FSIC have received a communication regarding the withdrawal process.
