TOM TETSUO MIYATA 99, of Kapolei, Hawaii, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at Queens West Hospital on August 21, 2021. Born in Lennox, California he and his family were interned with the Japanese Americans during WWII and moved to Chicago after the war. He and his brother Masao ran an auto repair shop for over 60 years on the South Side of Chicago, Piccadilly Garage. He is survived by his wife Sachiko; sons Wayne (Jacinda) and John (Tara); daughter Cindy; 5 grandchildren, Garrett, Shaun, Tommy, Dylan and Collin. He was predeceased by Brother Masao and Sisters Mary and Sue. Private family services were held.
