PAUL WALDEMAR MULLER

Paul Waldemar Muller, better known as, "Braddah Paul" and "Uncle Paul", passed away on October 17, 2020 at Kaiser Moanalua Hospital at the age of 84. Paul was the son of Eva Louise (Enomoto) and Waldemar Paul Muller. Paul has six siblings including twin brother Karl Muller, Theresa Kurahara, Marylou Mauliola, Rose "Kitty" Simonds, Marion "Dingle" Muller and Alice "Jojo" Worthy.
After graduating from St. Anthony School in Maui he enlisted in the Army. During his short stint in the Military he was able to travel the world. He always reminisced about the good ‘ole times he had, living in Germany, meeting all kinds of people and of course, being kolohe. He eventually ended up in Los Angeles, California where he received his Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics license at Northrup Institute of Technology. There, he met Jane, native from Kauai, whom was a Nurse at Westside Hospital. The couple got married in 1959 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends this past December.
Paul and Jane moved back to Hawaii where he worked as an Airline Mechanic for Hawaiian Airlines. He then worked for the Hawaiian Telephone Company as a PBX Repairman, Waikiki being his main district. He retired after 35 years and was known by many as the "Mayor of Waikiki".
Paul loved to be involved with the community and gave back to the "keiki o ka ‘aina". He was the Founder/President of the Hawaii Kai Youth Organization where he started up Hawaii Kai Dolphins Pop Warner football league. He was also active with the Kaiser High School Booster Club back in the 70’s and 80’s, worked with Mr. Wally Yee and the Wally Yee Carnival, and got the best bang for the buck for the school. Paul built and shared endless memories about the exposure and lifelong friends that helped him make a difference in the community.
Paul always instilled the importance of family – taking care and being there for one another. He had a heart of gold and shared his love, knowledge, support, and ‘many’ words of wisdom with family, friends, and just about anyone he encountered.
Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Muller, and children: Karl Muller, Donna Robinson, Patricia Moody and Mary Donohue. He has 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand/great-grand nieces and nephews.
