EVELYN MARIE TATE-BALL

97, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 17, 1923 and had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Her father, Erwin Tate, a Police Officer, was killed in the line of duty in 1939. Her mother, Jesse Tate, lived to be 102. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Calvin Bruce Ball, Sr., and a daughter, Joyce Lynn Griffin, "Kui". She is survived by 7 children: Evelyn Irene Morris, Richard Erwin (Loreen) Ball, Margaret Ellen (Robert) O’Brien, Elizabeth Ann Ball, Calvin Bruce (Kanoe) Ball, Jr., Merrie Christine Ball, and Robert Alan Ball. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Evelyn was a teacher’s aide at Blanche Pope Elementary School. She loved working with the children there. She was a Christian and loved the 23rd Psalm. She donated to many Christian charities, but her favorite was Child Evangelism Fellowship. She was well loved and will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends.
