WILLIAM CHU

William Chu passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 10th at the age of 98. He is survived by sons Peter and Barry, daughter Yvonne, 4 grandchildren: Lillian, Alex, Branden and Dannan; 3 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. William, known to many as “Bill” was the evening manager at the Kahala Hilton for over 30 years. He enjoyed travelling, majong, poker, and people. William was born in Ningpo China in 1922 and moved to Hong Kong in 1949. He married Nancy Chang in 1952 and moved to Honolulu in 1963. Nancy passed away in 2017. The family plans to hold a Memorial Service in the summer.
